How much you earn working in Poland

Last reviewed: 1 November 2026

Minimum wage in 2026

Poland has a national minimum wage that is updated every year. In 2026 it is 4,806 PLN gross per month (about 3,600 PLN net, i.e. what reaches your account) and 31.40 PLN gross per hour for civil-law contracts such as umowa zlecenie. It is the legal floor: what you actually earn depends on the sector, your skills and the offer.

Ranges from our current offers

Each offer states whether pay is net or gross. Indicative reference, no guarantee (November 2026):

Type of workIndicative pay
Warehouse, picking, production and factory24 – 30 PLN/hour net (some offers pay monthly from ~5,000 PLN gross)
Food processing plant25 – 33 PLN/hour net, depending on the role
Skilled trades (sewing, upholstery)32 – 36 PLN/hour net
MAG welding37 – 40+ PLN/hour net, depending on experience

Exact amounts, hours and benefits (bonuses, overtime) are in each offer. They may change, and some offers deduct housing or transport (for example, 450–500 PLN per month in several); it always appears in the listing.

Gross and net

Contracts state gross pay (brutto). What you receive is the net amount (netto), after taxes and contributions. Deductions change with the type of contract (umowa o pracę / umowa zlecenie). Always ask for the estimated net pay.

What your income depends on

  • Hourly rate and hours worked per month.
  • Overtime and night or weekend shifts.
  • Type of contract.
  • Productivity or attendance bonuses, if the offer includes them.
  • Housing or transport: if deducted, it must be written in the contract.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some jobs pay more than others?

Because of the sector, the skills required and experience: a welder or an upholsterer earns more than an entry-level warehouse role.

Can I save money?

It depends on your pay, housing and expenses. Calculate with net pay, not gross.
